From Conception to 8 Weeks...

We strive to raise the healthiest puppies possible.

Care Of Mom

-During pregnancy mom receives high quality prenatal vitamins called “Oxy Mate” to make sure she has every nutrient she needs to develop strong, healthy puppies.
-During birth mom is given large doses of Oral-Cal, a fast absorbing calcium paste that keeps labor progressing smoothly, re-energizes her and gives her body the extra boost it needs as she begins sustaining her little ones with milk.
-During the remaining weeks of nursing mom receives a multivitamin (post whelping formula called “Oxy Momma”) that helps with milk production and getting mom back to her best. She is also given “Healthy Bones”, a complete and balanced calcium supplement to help her fill the increasing demands from her little ones.
-Between puppies mom is given high quality dry food (See our Nutrition page for what we feed and why) and a B vitamin supplement called “B Strong”.  And enjoys activities of swimming, exploring the corn field, and being our loyal companion.

Care Of Puppies

-Our puppies are raised on our farm, in the warmth and love of our home. From day one they receive lots of snuggles, love and interaction from adults and children alike. As they are ready we introduce them to other dogs, other animals, and other environments so they can confidently become a part of this big wide world.
-Playing a big role is ENS or "Early Neurological Stimulation" done from days 3-16.  Link to article below if you'd like to learn more about the many benefits including a stronger heart and the ability to better cope with stressful situations.
-Another program we implement called "Puppy Culture" helps to shape emotional responses in the puppies, teaches self control, and an overall more calm and laid back personality. Link below to learn more.
-The puppy pack that you receive with your puppy will have valuable information on many different topics related to golden retrievers, including information on hip and joint health, the best time to spay/neuter for the health of your dog, current vaccination protocols...etc. It will also include a bag of food, a bag of treats, 5 generation pedigree, and limited AKC registration forms, a special toy, and a few other goodies for the new owner. Your puppy will come home with you having been vet checked and up to date on vaccinations, and having been dewormed at 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks of age.
